Life Support Program - Johnson Space Center
When humans establish permanent bases on the Lunar surface or travel to Mars for exploration, they will continue to need food, water and air. For long term missions it will not be economically feasible to resupply these life support elements from Earth. Humans will need to develop systems to produce food, purify their water supply and regenerate oxygen from the carbon dioxide they expel.
One-stop site for information on Space Shuttle missions, the International Space Station, Mir, historical manned space programs, and even Mars exploration.

Food and Nutrition Teacher's Guide with Activities
From John Glenn's mission to orbit Earth to the International Space Station program, space food research has met the challenge of providing food that tastes good and travels well into space. This NASA educator guide brings that research into the classroom with activities that emphasize hands-on education.
Suited
for Spacewalking Teacher's Guide with Activities
This guide begins with brief discussions of the space environment,
the history of spacewalking, NASA's current spacesuit, and work that astronauts
do during spacewalks. These are followed by a design brief that challenges students
to design a spacesuit prototype for a Mission to Mars and classroom activities.
