Education Services Program - AESP
- A nationwide, free program for teachers, students and the
general public designed to increase awareness and understanding of scientific
research and technological development and their place in the world we live
in. AESP specialists hold workshops, seminars and conferences for teachers,
demonstration-lecture assembly programs for students, and general public presentations
for civic groups, professional organizations, museums and planetariums. The
NASA AESP program is administered through the Department of Aviation and Space
Education at Oklahoma State University.

- Each NASA field center creates and updates its own Fact
Sheets covering its missions, facilities, and projects. Click on a center's

Technologies Channel (LTC)
- Hosted by NASA's
Quest Project team (the K-12 Internet Initiative). "The LTC provides educators
and the general public with a location on the Internet that allows them to
participate in online courses and to remotely attend some NASA workshops and
seminars. A primary focus of the LTC will be to broaden the uses of the Internet
to include in-service teacher training. The LTC will also provide access to

CONNECT Series
- Consists of interactive 30-minute instructional programs
that use NASA projects, facilities, and researchers to enhance the teaching
of elementary and middle school math and science. Each program includes a
lesson; a classroom experiment; and a web-based, online, interactive component.
NASA CONNECT is free, and educators are encouraged to tape the broadcasts
and copy the teacher materials. (NOTE: The ERC has previously broadcast
programs and teacher's guides available for copying.)

- NASA Educational Workshops
- The NEW program is sponsored and funded by NASA and implemented
through a contract with the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).
Selected teachers will receive a two-week, expense paid trip to a NASA Field
Center where they will observe NASA's state-of-the-art research and development
through direct interaction with NASA scientists, engineers, technicians and
