Opportunity Program

The Virginia Air & Space Center Opportunity Program, Inc. provides free or reduced educational programming to students that show financial need. Since the inception of the VASC Opportunity Program in 1995, over 275,000 students have received free and reduced educational experiences at the Center. Contributions from individuals, businesses and foundations nourish the program.

The Virginia Air & Space Center Opportunity Program is a Virginia State Department of Education Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program for Education.

The VASC Opportunity Program:

  • Provides contributors with a 65% State Tax Credit for their directed donation in addition to regular state and federal tax deductions.
  • Stimulates students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and assists with teaching the Virginia Standards of Learning guidelines.
  • Educates our community’s budding scientists, doctors, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.

Donate to the Virginia Air & Space Center Opportunity Program today to receive a 65% tax credit!

A donation of $1,000 will return a Virginia State Tax Credit in the amount of $650 in addition to regular state and federal tax deductions.
